The Buenos Aires City Police conducted 13 raids in the Villa 1-11-14, Constitución, Balvanera, Barracas, and Villa Santa Rita neighborhoods, resulting in the arrest of 14 people, eight of whom had extensive criminal records. During the operations, approximately 400 grams of cocaine, 297 grams of cocaine base, marijuana, and so-called 'tusi' were seized, along with firearms, ammunition of various calibers, and cash. Minister of Security Horacio Giménez stated that 'there is a political decision in the City to combat street-level drug trafficking.' He added that a strategy is being applied to cut off their funding by seizing drugs and money, preventing their operations through police presence, investigation, and firmness. The raids were led by officers from the Anti-Drug Investigations Division of the North and South Zones and were carried out under warrants from two different judges, aiming to dismantle drug sales establishments.
